Funding a big boost to Cavan Primary Schools
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced that his Government colleague the Minister for Education and Science, Mr Batt O’Keeffe T.D. has now approved grant aid for improvement works at Ballyconnell National School and Scoil Bhride, Mountnugent.
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced that his Government colleague the Minister for Education and Science, Mr Batt O’Keeffe T.D. has now approved grant aid for improvement works at Ballyconnell National School and Scoil Bhride, Mountnugent.
Minister Smith stated that the additional funding will enable Scoil Bhríde, Mountnugent to provide new toilets for the children, staff toilets, wheelchair accessible toilets and a new hallway.
In relation to Ballyconnell National School, the additional funding will enable the school to install phase 3 electricity.
The Minister and Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D., wished the pupils, teachers and parents of the two schools well, stating that the improvements would be a big boost to both local communities.
