Provision of a new school for St. Patrick’s College Cavan in the major Post-Primary School Building Projects that will proceed to tender and construction. - Smith


Mr. Brendan Smith T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision of his Government colleague, Ms. Mary Hanafin T.D., Minister for Education and Science to include the provision of a new school for St. Patrick’s College Cavan in the major Post-Primary School Building Projects that will proceed to tender and construction during the course of the next 12 - 15 months.

Mr. Brendan Smith T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision of his Government colleague, Ms. Mary Hanafin T.D., Minister for Education and Science to include the provision of a new school for St. Patrick’s College Cavan in the major Post-Primary School Building Projects that will proceed to tender and construction during the course of the next 12 - 15 months.

Minister Smith stated that this project, namely a completely new school building, is presently at Stage 3 which is detailed design and planning and it will proceed to the next Stage at an early date.

Minister Smith stated that this new College will entail a major financial investment by the Department of Education and Science and the school will have the most modern facilities which will be for the educational benefit of second level school pupils for future decades.

The Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D. complimented Mr. McNiffe the Principal and Management of St. Patrick’s College, the Parents’ Association and also the Department of Education and Science on progressing this project which will enhance considerably educational facilities in the Cavan area.
