Further good news for Royal School Cavan- Smith
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced further good news for the Royal School, Cavan Town.
He has been informed by his colleague, An Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Ms. Mary Coughlan, T.D. than she has given approval for funding to install a replacement ceiling in the assembly hall and a new fire escape stairs at the school.
“Along with many schools across all parts of County Cavan, the Royal School is benefiting from the most extensive investment programme ever in school buildings. Already, a significant project has just been completed to provide a new science laboratory at the school, while the Royal School is one of 34 schools in County Cavan to have been included in the Summer Works Scheme 2010.
“The Royal School has long historical associations with Cavan Town and as a local public representative, I am pleased that it is benefiting from an investment programme which is now modernising school buildings all over our County”, Minister Smith said.
