Accommodation boost for Cavan Schools- Smith
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced that additional accommodation has been approved for two County Cavan Schools
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced that additional accommodation has been approved for two County Cavan Schools.
Minister Smith said that following extensive and ongoing representations to his Government colleague, the Minister for Education and Science, Mr. Batt O’Keeffe, T.D., he has been informed that St. Bricin’s College, Belturbet has been approved for a new classroom, while St. Killian’s NS, Mullagh is to get a new resource room.
“There continues to be considerable progress in modernising school buildings throughout County Cavan. Despite the very serious state of the public finances, the Government continues to invest in our schools, thereby investing in the future. This announcement of additional accommodation for these schools is a great boost to the local communities involved and I would like to offer my congratulations, to the teachers, pupils, parents and Boards of Management”, Minister Smith said.
