Further funding boost for Cavan Schools-SMITH

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced further good news for schools in Cavan

Milltown NS, Belturbet has been approved funding for a new mainstream classroom, which will follow on from a major extension opened last year.

Kildallon NS, Ardlougher, has got the green light for additional funding towards sewerage works, which follows a recent announcement that the school has been approved for two new classrooms.

Both schools have benefited from considerable investment in recent times and are according to Minister Smith, another example of the largest ever school building programme in Cavan that is benefiting all parts of the County.

Minister Smith offered his congratulations to the Principals, teachers, children, Parents` Associations, as well as the Chairpersons of the Boards of Management and other board members of both schools for their successful applications.

Local Councillor Seán Smith said that it was another welcome boost to schools in the Kildallon and Drumlane parishes.
