St Mary’s NS, Ballyhaise gets accommodation boost- SMITH

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has announced that approval has been given for additional accommodation at St. Mary’s National School, Ballyhaise.

“I have been informed by An Tánaiste and the Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan, T.D., that she has given the go ahead for the provision of a new mainstream classroom at St. Mary’s. This is a big boost to the school and will greatly improve the learning environment for the children in a school which has a wonderful tradition of education and early instruction for the local community of Ballyhaise.

I’d like to offer my congratulations to the Principal, teachers, Chairman of the Board of Management and other members, for this great news for St. Mary’s. This is yet another example of the priority this Government is putting in education which is seeing the largest ever school building programme underway throughout all of County Cavan”, Minister Smith said.
