Funding approved for St Mogue’s National School, Currin
Mr Brendan Smith TD, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Councillor Sean Smith have welcomed the decision of the Tanaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Ms Mary Coughlan, TD, to approve funding to St. Mogue’s National School, Currin, Ballyconnell, in relation to the provision of additional permanent accommodation.
Minister Smith has welcomed this decision by Minister Coughlan and he stated that funding is being made available to enable a permanent structure to be put in place.
“This announcement for St. Mogue’s will greatly enhance the facilities at the school and is a great boost to the local community involved and I would like to offer my compliments, to the Principal, the Chairman of the Board of Management and the other members of the Board, as well as the staff, pupils and parents.
Despite the very difficult current economic situation, Fianna Fáil in Government continues to prioritise investment in school buildings. This is an investment in the future of our country and the fruits of it can be seen throughout County Cavan”, Minister Smith said.
