More Cavan Schools included in 2006 Building Programme
Minister of State Brendan Smith, T.D., has announced that Castletara, Muff (Laragh Number 2), Killyconnan, Crosskeys Central, National Schools have been included in this year’s School Building Programme under the Devolved Scheme.
Minister Smith has welcomed these approvals by the Minister for Education & Science, Ms. Mary Hanafin, T.D. and he added that this major investment will enable the refurbishment of existing facilities and in some instances provide new facilities.
Minister Smith stated that the largest ever School Building Programme is underway throughout Co. Cavan this year and he added that further announcements regarding this Programme will be made over the coming months.
The Cavan-Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D. added that the major investment in the School Building Programme of the last few years is providing new and modern facilities for the school going population.
