Go ahead for Farnham National School


Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., recently announced that approval has now issued in respect of the provision of additional permanent accommodation at Farnham National School, Cavan.

Minister Smith has welcomed the decision of his Government colleague, Ms Mary Hanafin, T.D., to issue approval to the Board of Management enabling the Design Team to prepare the tender documentation and have the project proceed to tender.

 

Minister Smith stated that this building project consists of the provision of 3 new classrooms, a General Purposes Room, a Special Tuition Room, a Multi-Purposes Room and other ancillary accommodation.

 

The Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D. stated that this approval is further evidence of this Government’s commitment to a major school building programme throughout the country and Co. Cavan is a major beneficiary with the largest ever school building programme underway.
