Additional Funding for Roads
Minister of State Brendan Smith has announced that an additional € 241,330 has now been allocated to Cavan County Council towards its Non-National Roads Programme for 2006.
Minister of State Brendan Smith has announced that an additional € 241,330 has now been allocated to Cavan County Council towards its Non-National Roads Programme for 2006.
Minister of State Smith stated that this funding is being provided under the CLÁR Programme and the allocation has been approved by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr Éamon Ó Cuiv, T.D., and the Environment Minister, Mr Dick Roche, T.D.
Minister Smith added that in excess of €33.7 Million will be invested in upgrading and improving the roads and laneways in County Cavan this year and this will enable a substantial roadworks programme to be undertaken throughout all of the county.
Minister Smith stated that the largest ever Roadworks Programme will be undertaken in Co. Cavan this year.
