New School for St. Patrick's School, Cavan
Mr Brendan Smith T.D. Minister of State has announced that the Minister for Education and Science, Ms Mary Hanafin T.D. has now approved the provision of a new school for St. Patrick’s College, Cavan
Mr Brendan Smith T.D. Minister of State has announced that the Minister for Education and Science, Ms Mary Hanafin T.D. has now approved the provision of a new school for St. Patrick’s College, Cavan.
Minister Smith stated that his Government colleague, Minister Hanafin, has now authorised this project to proceed to Stage 3, which is detailed design and planning.
Minister Hanafin, in her reply, to ongoing representations by the Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil Deputy, Brendan Smith, stated that a number of options were considered in the context of upgrading or providing new accommodation at St. Patrick’s College and it has now been agreed that a new school building will be provided.
Minister Smith has welcomed this decision by Minister Hanafin and he complimented the Principal and Management of St. Patrick’s College and the Department on this decision, which he states will result in the provision of the most modern school facilities, which will be for the educational benefit of second level school pupils for future decades.
