Additional Funding for Roads
Mr Brendan Smith T.D. Minister of State has welcomed the allocation of an additional €482,660.00 to Cavan County Council for the non-National Roads Programme.
Mr Brendan Smith T.D. Minister of State has welcomed the allocation of an additional €482,660.00 to Cavan County Council for the non-National Roads Programme.
Minister Smith stated that this funding is being allocated under the Clár Programme and he welcomed this approval which was issued by Minister Éamon Ó Cuív and the Environment Minister, Dick Roche T.D.
Minister Smith stated that with this additional funding a total of €30 million will be available to Cavan County Council for this year’s Roads Programme. He added that further funding will be allocated to the Council under the Local Improvement Scheme towards the repair of laneways.
The Fianna Fáil T.D. stated that this substantial funding will enable the major road works programme of recent years to continue.
