Computer funding boost for Cavan Schools
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has confirmed that 10 schools in County Cavan are to share in a grant of €85,000 for new state of the art computer equipment.
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Cavan/Monaghan, T.D., Mr. Brendan Smith has confirmed that 10 schools in County Cavan are to share in a grant of €85,000 for new state of the art computer equipment.
The ICT (Information, Communications and Technology) grant will allow the following schools to purchase new, or upgrade their computer facilities:
- Ballyconnell Central NS
- Ballyconnell Mixed NS
- Billis NS, Ballyjamesduff
- Scoil Bhride, Mountnugent
- St. Felim’s NS, Leitir, Ballieborough
- Butlersbridge NS
- Killyconnan NS, Lavey
- St, Clare’s NS Cavan Town
- St. Mary’s NS. Arva
- Mullahoran NS
Confirming the funding, which has been approved by his colleague, Mr. Batt O’Keeffe, T.D., Minister for Education and Science, Minister Smith said that this was a tremendous boost to the schools involved and was absolutely vital in equipping the pupils with the skills needed for the modern knowledge economy.
