Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance recognised under the Rural Social Scheme

 

 

 

 

Minister of State, Brendan Smith, welcomes the confirmation received from Mr Éamon Ó Cuiv, T.D., Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs that Rural Social Scheme participants will now qualify for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance under this year’s Scheme.

 

Minister Ó Cuiv in his correspondence stated that “having forwarded a submission on foot of your query to the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, I am pleased to confirm that, the Rural Social Scheme is now recognised as an approved Government scheme in the context of access to, or retention of, the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance”.
