Major Funding for Housing
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision by the Minister for Housing and Urban Renewal, Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., to allocate € 15,500,000 in respect of the Housing Programme for Co. Cavan for 2005.
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision by the Minister for Housing and Urban Renewal, Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., to allocate € 15,500,000 in respect of the Housing Programme for Co. Cavan for 2005.
Minister Smith stated that € 13.5 Million is being allocated to Cavan County Council and € 2 Million to Cavan Town Council for their Housing Programme for this year. He added that this major funding will enable the Councils to continue their record house building programme.
The Fianna Fáil Deputy added that in recent years the largest ever housing programmes have been undertaken throughout all of the county and that this year’s construction programme will once again enhance considerably the housing stock.
