Additional funding for Cavan Town Estates
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State has welcomed the allocation of € 100,000 in respect of the Local Authority Housing Estate Enhancement Scheme for Cavan Town.
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State has welcomed the allocation of € 100,000 in respect of the Local Authority Housing Estate Enhancement Scheme for Cavan Town.
Minister Smith stated that this funding of € 100,000 has been approved by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr Éamon Ó Cuiv, T.D., under his Department’s RAPID Programme.
Below are the details in relation to the expenditure and the improvement works that will be undertaken.
- Install Public Lighting: Park View, St. Brigid’s Terrace, Jubilee Terrace, Breffni Terrace Cost; € 25,000
- Kilnavara: Plant boundary hedge along Estate, plant shrubs and trees along footpath, install boundary fences behind resident houses, install a fence along entrance to increase safety for the green area. Installation of a nameplace Cost; € 25,000
- O’Raghallaigh Park: Landscape all green areas within the estate through the installation of trees/shrubs and bark mulch. Installation of a nameplate. Removal and reinstallation of fences in some areas of the estate to enhance the aesthetics of estate
Cost; € 20,000
- Steeples: Development of the green area to the rear of the steeples. Erection of a fence with a lockable gate, installation of a boundary hedge, seating and development of flowerbeds Cost; € 20,000
- St. Patrick’s Terrace: Development of the green area at St. Patrick’s Tce through installation of a fence and landscaping the area Cost; € 10,000
