New Fire Station for Cootehill


Tender approved.

Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., has been informed by Mr Batt O’Keeffe, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government that approval has been given to Cavan County Council to accept a tender for the construction of a new Fire Station at Cootehill.

 

Minister Smith stated that this project involves the provision of a new two-bay fire station with the additional facilities necessary to cater for today’s modern fire service.  Minister Smith added that this project, when complete, will provide Cootehill and the surrounding areas with a modern fire service facility and it will cost in the region of € 725K.

 

Local Fianna Fáil Councillors, Michael McCarey and Francis McDermott have expressed to Northern Sound their welcome for this development
