Funding for litter awareness initiatives
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister for Food and Horticulture has been informed by Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr Batt O’Keeffe, T.D., that he has now allocated € 11,500 to Cavan County Council for a public education and awareness initiatives on litter.

Minister O’Keeffe in his correspondence to Minister Smith stated that this funding will enable local authorities to engage in a range of activities aimed at encouraging a more responsible public attitude towards litter.
