Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State has announced that an additional € 747,000 has now been allocated to Cavan County Council by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr Dick Roche, T.D.

Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State has announced that an additional € 747,000 has now been allocated to Cavan County Council by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr Dick Roche, T.D.

 

Minister Smith stated that among the improvement works to be funded are:-

• € 140,000 for Murmod Bridge
• € 200,000 for the Bailieboro/Cavan Road
• € 250,000 for Cathedral Road, Cavan
• € 157,000 for Class 2 and 3 Local Roads in the County

 

Minister Smith stated that this additional funding means that in excess of € 33 Million will be invested in upgrading and improving the roads and laneways in Co. Cavan this year and this will enable a very substantial roadworks programme to be undertaken throughout all of the county.
