More funding for Sports Facilities
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., has been informed by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr Éamon Ó Cúiv, T.D., that he has now approved grant assistance for a number of Sports Clubs under the CLÁR Programme.

The Minister in his reply to representations by Deputy Brendan Smith stated that a top-up grant has been approved to the following clubs who were awarded grants under the 2004 Sports Capital Programme. These Clubs are all situated in the CLÁR area:-

Deputy Smith stated that this additional funding now brings the total grant for sports facilities in Co. Cavan for 2004 to € 1,018,000.
