Mr Brendan Smith T.D. has announced that the Minister for Housing and Urban Renewal, Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., has approved a proposal by Cavan County Council to purchase a turnkey development of 74 houses and crèche facilities at Drumbannon, Bailieborough.
Mr Brendan Smith T.D. has announced that the Minister for Housing and Urban Renewal, Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., has approved a proposal by Cavan County Council to purchase a turnkey development of 74 houses and crèche facilities at Drumbannon, Bailieborough.
The Minister in his correspondence to Deputy Smith stated that this approval clears the way for the Council to enter into a contract for the commencement of construction work on the scheme.
The Fianna Fáil T.D. added that this approval by the Minister is further evidence of this Government’s commitment to the continuation of the large-scale local authority housing programme that has been underway in Co. Cavan for the past number of years.
