Voluntary and Community Funding awarded


Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision by Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to approve funding under his Department’s Scheme of Grants to a number of voluntary and community organisations throughout Co. Cavan.

Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food has welcomed the decision by Mr Noel Ahern, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to approve funding under his Department’s Scheme of Grants to a number of voluntary and community organisations throughout Co. Cavan.

 

Deputy Smith stated that the scheme of grants administered by Minister Ahern's Department are clear recognition by the Government of the important work being carried out by voluntary and community groups.

 

The following applications were approved:

Funding of E 2,000

Towards equipment

  • Bailieborough Resource House

  • Bunnoe Community Enterprise

Funding of E 5,000

Towards equipment

  • Kildallon Comm. Dev. Co.

Funding of E10,000

Towards refurbishment

  • Shannon Valley Women’s Group, Glangevlin

Funding of E 1,800

Towards training

  • Tullacmongan Resource Centre

Funding of E 4,000

Towards Refurbishment
