Go ahead for Ballinagh Health Centre
Mr Brendan Smith, T.D., and Senator Diarmuid Wilson have been informed by the Minister for Health and Children, Mr Micheál Martin, T.D., that he has now given approval to the North Eastern Health Board to appoint a Design Team in respect of the provision of a major new Health Centre at Ballinagh.
The Minister in his correspondence to Deputy Smith, Senator Wilson and Charlie Fleming stated that the Health Board can now proceed with the planning and design of this major Health Centre which will include G.P. facilities, Public Health Nurse facilities and also Consultation Rooms for visiting Clinicians to provide services such as speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and social work.
Deputy Smith told The Anglo-Celt that this project will mean an investment in excess of € 1 Million and it will be a welcome development in the delivery of primary health care services for Ballinagh and its catchment area.
