More funding for Roads

E 482,660 for the Non-National Roads Programme for Co. Cavan for 2004.
Deputy Smith in welcoming the decision of Minister Eamon O’Cuiv and Minister Pat the Cope Gallagher stated that this additional funding is being provided under the CLÁR Programme and he added that this year E 28.5 Million has now been allocated for the Road Works Programme for Co. Cavan.
The Fianna Fáil Deputy added that further funding will be allocated shortly under the Local Improvement Scheme for the repair of laneways.
Deputy Smith stated that this major funding will enable the Council to continue its major road restoration and improvement programme throughout all of Co. Cavan.
