Smith welcomes €87,000 for Cavan counselling services
Mr. Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has welcomed an allocation totalling €87,000 to seven voluntary and community groups in County Cavan.
Mr. Brendan Smith, T.D., Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has welcomed an allocation totalling €87,000 to seven voluntary and community groups in County Cavan.
The funding has been approved for the voluntary and community groups in the County providing a wide range of marriage, child and bereavement counselling services and supports.
The following groups will benefit:
- Cavan Family Resource Centre - €35,600
- Rainbows, Cavan - €1,000
- Teach Oscail FRC Project, Cavan - €7,000
- ACCORD, Cavan - €38,400
- Bailieboro Community Resource House - €3,200
- Kingscourt Bereavement Support Group- €1,000
- Monaghan Presbytery, Bailieboro, - €1,000
“These grants are part of an €11 million national allocation across the country and are a major boost to these fine organisations who are doing such important work in support of local communities. I would like to compliment each of the successful organisations and wish them well for the future”, Minister Smith said.
